Sentinel installation requires .NET 2.0 specifically. To install .NET 2.0....

In the Windows search bar, type "Windows features" and click on "turn Windows features on or off"

Once that window populates, look at the checkbox next to ".NET Framework 3.5 (Includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0)”. If that box is not checked, be sure to check it. Then click OK. After that finishes, reboot the computer and try installing Sentinel again. If your computer has Windows 11 running in S mode, you will need to disable that first.
I am still having issues. I have followed all directions to the T. First I get this message , “this setup requires the .NET Framework version 2.0. Please install the Net Framework and run this setup again. The Net Framework can be obtained from the web. Would you like to do this now ?” Then there is a yes box and no box. I clicked the yes box but it brings me to a page that says “Build. Test. Deploy” with all kinds of stuff on it. I am lost and totally disgusted. I have tried to attach pictures of the message and screen that come up but it does not allow me to attach them.

Did you check this box in the "Windows Features" window on your computer as I posted in my post #2 & #18 above ?

After Sentinel says that it requires the .NET Framework version 2.0 to be installed, there is nothing in the process I described that gives you the messages you are seeing about obtaining it from the web, or “Build. Test. Deploy”.

I have clicked that exact box every time I have tried and that’s when then message appears. I have tried this many times , always the same way with the same results. That is what’s so aggravating , I’m following the instructions but no success. This has been going on since the end of August 😬

Are you running Windows 11 Mode S? If so, you MUST turn mode S off before it will install Sentinel

I tried that numerous time and it brings up a screen that says
“ switch out of s mode - you are unable to switch out of s mode on this version of Microsoft store. See the links below for more information on how to update Microsoft store - your device is not running in s mode”

At the bottom there are a few links one of them is a link for “update Microsoft store - update Microsoft store to switch out of s mode”

I do not see anything on that page on how to do it. But if the laptop isn’t running in s mode what else could it be ?

Before trying to switch out of something that may not be pertinent to you, did you verify if your version is even in s mode?

To check if your Windows is in "S mode," go to your computer settings, navigate to "System," then click on "About" - if it indicates "S mode" under the Windows specification section, then your system is currently running in S mode; this mode restricts app installations to only those available in the Microsoft Store, prioritizing security and performance

I just tried this again and I am getting the following message
“.netframework 3.5 installation errors: 0x800F0906 , 0x800F081F , 0x800F0907 , 0x800F0923”
