Since these are splinter channels, do I program them as 12.5 narrow or 6.25 super narrow channel? I’m getting an Alinco DJ-X100 and want to know ahead of time how to program these channels, thanks!

Those channels have been subsumed into the AAR 307-487 range, which is all either data or NXDN.

For example, AAR107 is also AAR308 which is NXDN (or data). So if you have the number of channels available in the DJ-X100, I would be tempted to put in the standard AAR analog plan in channels 007 - 097 as FM Narrow (12.5), and program channels 307-487 as FM Very Narrow (6.25 NXDN). That way whatever channel your scanner stops on is also the corresponding AAR channel and there's no doubt as to whether it's analog or digital.

The above is good advice, but 107-196 are being used in some locations for analog narrowband transmissions. Best to set up one bank with 007-097 (FM narrow), the next bank with 107-196 (FM narrow), and the third bank with 307-487 (NXDN Very Narrow). This is how I've got my radios set up and it works just fine.

We have all 3 sets in 3 different zones where I am. Then a dedicated Weather Zone (WX).
