Hi everyone, I'm using:
sdr# from here SDR# and Airspy Downloads - AIRSPY (Jan 1, 2025)
dsd+ from here DSDPlus – Digital Decoder (Dec 4, 2025)
and VBCable.
When starting dsd from dsd interface plugin, I get errors about unsupported arguments, I delete them, then appear errors about missing DLLs or that I must specify in dsd path not dsdplus.exe, but fmpp/fmp24.exe or something, but even when it's done, same kinda errors still occur. I noticed two things:
1) there is no plugins.xml file in the sdr folder, but there is a similar sdrsharp.config file, which can be opened with notepad
2) In "configure dsd" window, in "decoder options" tab, there is no "create command line" button.
It seems to me that the sdr version might be incompatible with the dsd version. If so, does anyone have compatible versions of both programs? Or, if that's not the problem, what is it? Thanks in advance.
P.S. I'm a beginner at all this stuff:)

Welcome to the RR forums. Any missing DLLs DSDPlus complains about must be moved from the DSDPlus\DLLs folder to the DSDPlus root directory. What make & model dongle(s) are you running? Providing this info will help us let you know what version of FMPxx you should run. Though if you're running SDR# with a vb audio cable it sounds like you're trying to decode conventional traffic & in that case FMPxx need not be used

For starters, ditch sdr and virtual cables.

If you really want to go thru extra steps and resources, and continue with sdr and cables, don’t launch dsd from the plug in. Launch it from its 1r.bat file, change to passive and set your virtual cable as the input.
How to change to passive?

if you want to hear the garble of the encrypted audio make sure your. bat does NOT include the -e switch.

Turning "always audio monitoring" on solved the problem with the sound

Looks like its trying to decode data and showing errors. Don't see any voice calls in your pic. How are you attempting now? Are you using FMP24 with DSDPlus or still using sdr# and virtual cables?

Now looks like dsd can't decode speech, it keeps logging like this
Have you confirmed with another receiver there are active voice (or what you refer to as "speech") transmissions that DSDPlus isn't decoding? Your screenshot looks like weak data to me

Keep an eye out in the console window for this when there are active voice transmissions

You'll also want to keep an eye on your event log window. Active voice will be light green and past voice events will be a darker green

dont forget encrypted voice following.
This will log encrypted voice events like shown below but won't decrypt conversations
