ABQ Police Dispatch

A member posted here in January about not being able to hear on his scanner the ABQ Dispatch Talkgroups anymore. They all switched to digital from their analog transmissions. Is this true that they are no longer heard or can they run both analog and digital at the same time? Thanks.

Disregard.

Yes, for what ever reason, APD is no longer transmitting in analog. The online feed is the only way to monitor them.

The reason given for changing dispatch to digital from analog is so the dispatchers can override a stuck mike by an officer.

Thanks Fowler! I sent an email to APD's PIO, however, that got a bunch of useless replies that didn't make any sense!
