...and specifically one of the things you are not supposed to do.

For those counting the posts, please take time to read Etiquette and the Forums, specifically number 7 of that list. 8)

Mike I don't think posts are counted in the admin and tavern forums.

edit: I guess I'm wrong since my count went up with this post. Maybe it is just the tavern that does not count or I am thinking of a different board.

2nd edit: Hmm I must be thinking of a different forum because there counting in the tavern too. Maybe Lindsay should do something about that to help keep people from spamming.

Okay, lets get this settled.

Your post count will affect your membership in the following ways:
When you first start posting, you are a "New Member"
After a number of posts, you become a "Member"
When the post count climbs past a certain point, it becomes "Active Member."

Past that, nothing happens. Your post count is interesting number, mostly to you alone. It used to be that there were levels and some people posted idly to try and achive "Trunking Master" status. This is why those levels and lables no longer are available nor do they mean anything.

Believe me when I tell you that your post count doesn't ... well, count for anything. Those people with high numbers just mean they post a lot. Quantity seldom is related to quality.

As this topic has been hashed out quite enough and it appears that the original question has been addressed quite well, this topic is now closed. :)
