My question is if anyone knows when is the Sheriff's Dept. is ever going Digital like the others like Commerce City, Brighton, Thornton, & Northglenn. I heard that they were after the new ADCOM center was completed & that was 6 months ago.

My other question is that if anyone has heard if Federal Heights is ever going Digital or they are going to remain on the conventional channels as they are. I happen to live in this city. Anyone could help out with this information.

Fed Heights `should' be going `digital' in the next couple of months. The `word' that I heard was that they finally had their `grant' approved and all but `delivered'. Look for them to possibly appear someplace in that `hole' of TGID 00023 to TGID 00027 or so, if things `follow' the apparent `pattern' that there seems to be in that particular `stretch' of TGIDs, when they finally get going. The other `part' of what I have been able to discover is that they are also *not* going to be `giving up' their old licenses/freqs. Interesting that they are pretty much the `last' of the `munis' that are going `digital' in the area. (Westy and Arvada somewhat not `counting'. {BSE GRIN!} Personally, even with the spector of EDACS Digital `ProVoice' looming large and all the assorted `inter-operability?' `moans' that are making such a din, I've got to hand it to them for sticking with their `guns' and not getting `steamrollered' by the juggernaught State DTRS. [I *will* admit that I *did*, and somewhat still, have reservations about the way that EDACS was foisted off on both the users and the `general public' when Denver became the `Beta Test Site' when it all began. Now that I've seen how it has `matured' so far I quite a bit less likely to be such a `wet blanket?' about it. There are still a few things `rotten in Denmark' so to speak but the State's DTRS has a *lot* more `fermentation' occuring with it's accompanying odors.])

Hello all
Information that I have is that ADCOM is part of the Colorado DTRS. No exact date for Adams County Sheriff switch-over, but awaiting final funding. Effective June 1, 2004, Sable Altura Fire Rescue is now dispatched by ADCOM. They will no longer be dispatched by Aurora Fire Dept. In Aurora (Digital M/A-Com), Fire Dispatch is still being dispatched in the digital mode, but due to "technical issues" all the "TAC" channels are now in the analog mode for the time being. I will post updates as I get them.
