Seeing as that is a Connect+ system you would only be able to scan it conventionally. I don't think you can pick and choose which talkgroups you want to hear either, you'd get everything.

Yes they work for DMR and P25. They are stand alone receivers. VHF is 140-190 MHz and UHF is something like 400-470 MHz.
Do they work with all scanners or just certain ones and how does it connect to the scanner do you have to put a tap on it for it to work.

Looks like the board layout has changed a little since I received mine over a year ago.

A lot of people here will all be interested in your results.

Keep us posted

does anyone know what version of USB this device uses?
and is audio transferred over USB or ONLY the 3.5mm phone jack?

I ask because I am tempted to mount this in a waterproof enclosed box on an antenna mast about 50' above ground, and up to a 100' run from the controlling computer.

So here's where the question comes in.

USB only has a guaranteed run of 15'

Using these cheap extenders ($12.50) I can extend that to 150' using CAT5, however they do not support usb2 or 3.

The purpose of this would be to only have a very short run of coax from the radio to the antenna, if one at all. You could just mount a SMA antenna directly to the unit if you wished. All the while having the radio and antenna up to 150' away from your computer.

I will try to remember to get a video of it tonight for you. I guess a screen video capture is really what's need. The hardware won't do anything more than the static picture.

It transfers all control and data over usb but the audio is out of the 3.5 mm jack so you would need another cable to route that back down.

You can get repeated 50' usb cables on ebay cheap. I have one that works well but I'm not sure if you can link them.

I'm trying to get a video. There just isn't any traffic right now. If I can get a good enough signal from the MOSWIN VHF system I will try to get a video of that.

Can anyone tell me if this product can be used to gather data from a DMR system much like the DMR decode program can do? That is, can you use the product to tune to a single DMR frequency and have the software collect all TG and CC data from both TS's and store it in a database.

That's my main question about it as well.
