Advise and expertise needed

I finally broke down and bought a 996t. I'm pretty good with my old radio shack, but this has taken the learning curve out of my reach. Is there a 996t programming guide for dummies out there somewhere?
Also, what is the best antenna without going with a tower? Or is there any use?

Or you might be able to go to radioshack and get a antenna.

For 800 MHz it is hard to beat the Radio Shack 800 MHz. You can get one at RS for around $16 I think. You'll have to get an "elbow" fitting too.

On the programming. I would get ARC996 programming software from www.butel.nl

Also a subscription to this site. Use the web import feature on ARC software to import the information you want.
