This may or may not be useful info...

But new-ish feature on DSD+ has a sort of radio ID ALIAS STALKER, its "Talker Alias," aliases pulled from AFRRCS while scanning. I'm assuming that these are aliases assigned to that specific radio ID, or unit? Some of the talker aliases are just the RID, some are named. The very last column I have no idea what those letter/number combos mean or signify.

So far this is what has been generated in the last three days. I'll post more later if anyone wants, unless this is moot.

Very nice work ESF-12. Keep doing this and sharing your findings. You could create an RR wiki page for this information.

Unitrunker version 2.2.0.23 also decodes and displays the talker alias RID information. This data is sent on the voice channels.
A talker alias ID is sent in two separate packets utilizing the ASC II code.

Cheers

Just noticed this, (Same TGID) wasn't sure how to report it on the database.... or which is correct, the newer one I assume?

Mutual Aid for Red Deer County removed. To report something about the database, click the blue Menu link at the top of the AFRRCS page. The first option in the Menu is Submit Info. That is the preferred way. Otherwise, if I read the forums, then I'll eventually catch up with it.

My guess for Alix Tac 2 is 5085.

if I could chime in I have been working in Red Deer County for weeks now and this is my observation. While the first is correct, specifically I hear numerous calls for that station on that TG, as well as Red Deer County likes to use TAC 1 all the time , so 5084 Alix would respond on that as well.

My guess for Alix Tac 2 is 5085.
I have logged Bentley FD Dispatch 5086 + Tac 1 5087

Site 252 Edmonton now only has 19 frequencies? DSD plus auto populates the frequency list after connecting to the control channel, and up until two days ago there was 23 frequencies. What would motivate the system admins to remove frequencies from such a large site? Unless they've created a new site nearby that I've yet to detect?

Could you sit on those four missing frequencies at different times to see if a FM demodulated signal and what site number shows up?

Honestly, I wouldn't panic over the four missing channels, the site will probably come come back to 23 channels at some point. At 19 channels, it will be woefully under capacity for the volume of traffic site 252 carries.

Hi, to all of you RR members next door.

Have a look at the screenshots. A couple of them have been taken from a heavily redacted RCMP document.
And a couple from RR member data bases.

Cheers.

I think it could possibly be something like this?

TG 214 Unity Sask to Provost Alta.
TG 215 Kindersley Sask to Oyen and Hanna Alta.
TG 216 Swift Current Sask to Brooks and Medicine Hat.

Would be great to know the TGs in use in Alberta when these TGs are in use in Saskatchewan

Cheers

I have been playing with this system using SDR for a while in and out. After moving and no longer having a cell tower behind me I'm looking to set this back up again.
I am specifically interested in Site 252 as well. I had a functioning system running about 4 months back at the office (SDRTrunk), but now starting over again at home, I cant seem to locate a solid control channel.
Any insight? I see the DB shows four now when I believe there used to be five potential controls.

Failsafe method - Use SDRTrunk to determine the possible control channels yourself.

Once SDRTrunk locks a control channel, click on the yellow "CONTROL" row under now playing, then select the Details tab below it. It should tell you a lot of relevant info about the system, including possible control frequencies.

If you can hear 05A-024-024 Devon, 05A-023-023 Leduc, 05A-032-032 Ft. Saskatchewan, 05A-033-034 St. Albert, 05A-043-043 Villeneuve or 05A-020-020 EIA, these are all adjacent sites to Edmonton Simulcast you should be able to get the current 05A-0FC-0FC control channel.
