The following agencies' requests to join Cook County dispatch have been approved:

- Franklin Park Police and Fire
- Leyden Fire Protection District
- Northlake Fire Protection District
- River Grove Police and Fire

Further details (switchover dates, freqs, talkgroups, etc.) are not known at this time.

That is a good amount of Norcomm's agencies..
I heard from one source that NORCOMM was going to shut down at some point, but I can find nothing more about this online.

I would love to see cook county combine the 3 sites North, South, and Jail to make a massive simulcast trunked system that would be neat especially since we are seeing traffic in the clear for the first time in a long time on it. The south site is a bit out of my range I'll have to break out the yagi and sdr's tonight

Weren't franklin park/River grove going to the Melrose Park DMR T3 system? Or am i remembering wrong

They did, they didn't like it. It really does have terrible coverage with only one tower. They dripped back to their T band frequency about a month ago.
