does any hear air medical have this talkgroup 5040 and dove flight 65376 does any hear traffic on this talkgroup i like to know before i put them in my scanner.

Mark,Yes I will backup Viper 43.I have heard radio traffic on 155.160 along with 5040 and 65376 on Safe-t.I have Air-med helicopters flying over my house all the time going to the landing pad at St.V's.The hospital is 5 miles or less away from my location.I can tell which helicopter it is by the sound of rotorblades as they pass over.I have Lifeline, PHI (Angel 4) along with others that land and take off and fly over my home.

It would be a HIPAA violation. Its not necessarily because they know people listen, its because the transmission is in-the-clear and not secure. Sometimes, if the patient has a medical record already on file with the facility they are being transported to or other communications have been made in advance, they may use the patient's initials on the air, but nothing more.
