I was playing around with Unden's Air (VHF) Search mode on a BCT15X today and it stopped on numerous carriers minus any audio between 108~111MHz. Any idea why? I'm using a FM-Notch filter no less.

I thought about that but with the air band starting at 118MHz why would Uniden even include frequencies below 118 in their search?

the snowbirds are listed with a 116.0 frequency, it would be nice to search and find them.
so who else might be in there ?

i was going to add, and it is in the above article, that there is an ID in the signal. either morse or voice.
so it would not be a totally dead carrier, just boring to listen to. and try 75 Mhz near the airport.
