Mine arrived today. What a neat device. I'm seeing some aircraft using a Scantenna that's tower mounted. I've got the DPD Productions antenna on the way, but it's going to be a while before it goes up, especially given the wonderful winter we're having here. For the moment the scantenna is enough to get me started.

I was also fortunate enough to have an SMA male to N female jumper, about a foot long, which made it easy to connect the external antenna.

I'm using the FTP feature to upload screenshots to my website. Here's a running example of what I'm seeing. It'll continue to update every minute while I have the system running.

Very very cool device. Lots to learn, but easy to get it going initially.

Well folks, after two months of ownership I've determined that this ultra-cool device is just not going to get used enough by me. It was a "fad buy" I guess. I am unfortunately just not into commercial aviation monitoring as much as I thought I would be.

I've put the package of an Airnav Radarbox, DPD Productions ADS-B antenna, and Radarama antenna up for sale at this link, if anyone is looking for a way to get into this at a reduced price.

My thanks to all of you that helped with questions when I was inquiring. This is one hell of a setup, but I've concluded (again) that my primary monitoring interests lie elsewhere.

scott,

your about 6 days too late, I ordered the Airnav Radarbox last Saturday and received it today, definitely going to need the DPD Antenna for better reception.
If you had posted that last week I sure would have jumped on the offer.

It looks as if it all is turning out ok for you and Tin-Ear.

Back to learning all the new features.
