Does anyone have a Chilton county info? I don’t know if they are analog or on a trunked system but I can’t find any frequency’s for them, thanks for any help

The VFD is still on analogy VHF, but they also have a patch to TG 40003 on AIRS. The SO is on AIRS. Clanton was supposed to join AIRS, according to this article. I'm not sure what Maplesville is going to do.

close call is not going to show the talkgroups just the frequency

DECHEXModeAlpha TagDescriptionTag
400039c43DChilton Co FireFireFire Dispatch
400059c45DChilton Co ShrfSheriffLaw Dispatch

I also picked up TG 40004, but I couldn't tell who was using it. I'll be going through Chilton County on Thursday, so I can check out the control channels and listen for additional Talkgroups.

I was in maplesville and was not able to update my scanner in time but didnt catch anything on search close call or single talkgroup monitoring, not even sure how some features work, anyway, does anyone know of the Maplesville police? I did not see any external antennas on the cars or any obvious radios on a officer, are they using those phone type communicator devices like RPS does? Thanks for any help or info

Maplesville is using FirstNet PTT. All Law Enforcement agencies in Chilton county share the same "channel" on FirstNet. They do have the FirstNet patched to AIRS. They are slowing moving over to P25.

This link is Downloads & Reports on the main database page of AIRS statewide system. One of these may help. Good luck. 👍🏻

FOUND IT!
FCC Map of all Tower Sites
I found this by Googling
Alabama Interoperable Radio System Map…. and BINGO!

I think that is missing some data. Cherokee Co. not filled in, Montgomery tower, State EMA tower, and others not there. Marshall is coming on board too.

The tower site located in Walker County is an obvious error. It's named Gilmore and it shows it's in Bessemer, Al. The Gilmore tower is located in western Jefferson County and has a Bessemer mailing address.

The correct Gilmore site is shown on the map due south of the one that is shown as being in Walker County in error.

Montgomery - Prattville-Autauga towers are not part of the AIRS System. That’s why they aren’t included on the map.
Montgomery System serves the following counties
Montgomery Elmore Bullock Lee Autauga

Calhoun - Cleburne - Cherokee System is not part of AIRS and is not included either.

So it appears that the Coker site may have some activity, I'd have to do further research with my 436. The encraption makes it difficult.

Also of note for the Tuscaloosa sites, I picked up a couple of new TGs: 52001 and 50011.

52001 may be the ALEA Tuscaloosa Post as I've noticed this TG pops up when I quickly switch while they're transmitting on their VHF frequency.

My only guess that 50011 is Tuscaloosa Fire Tac 2? (just recently heard dispatch on the VHF patch to "utilize Tac 2" and this TG kept popping up).

Just seeing this. The state had 1 site each in Clanton and Montgomery back in 2012 that was part of the beginnings of this system. Our radios from Madison County worked on both towers. I guess it is totally separate from this cooperative system. When I would come down for business and had my radio on, some people would comment about seeing our talkgroup come up on those towers. Same when one of the Madison CO SO units were doing a transfer to/from Kilby.

Again, sorry for late reply.
