A couple of weeks back I heard a MAYDAY on talkgroup 205. It was only a drill but until I realized that, I thought someone had touched a High Voltage energized line. I went as far as to monitor Mississauga Ambulance simultaneously.

Hearing more traffic the last few days. I heard Guelph Control talking with a Bearcom tech out in the field. They advised they were having some radio issues since 2pm.

Wanted to post a current DSD+ list of what I'm seeing on this system from Aurora.

Site: S2-1.2
DCC:1

410.3875 Ch 65 - CC
410.3875 Ch 66
412.1375 Ch 345
412.1375 Ch 346
412.3125 Ch 373
412.3125 Ch 374
414.8375 Ch 778

Confirmed voice activity on all. Interestingly no activity on slot 1 of 414.8375.

I am picking up activity on the following talk groups.

201 Richmond Hill/Vaughan
202 Markham/Aurora
203 Simcoe
204 Brampton
205 Mississauga
206 Hamilton
207 St. Catharines
208 Guelph

However, the majority of voice during the past 24hrs of outages has been on 204 Brampton and 208 Guelph suggesting most others are either not on my simulcast region or not actively on the system yet.

Anyone else listening over the last little bit?

I was listening yesterday after the storm and I found it pretty much dead. Guelph and Brampton are active today.
Are you sure about the channel numbers of 410.3875 ? If so then you should submit a change request. RRDB shows it as 131

I am though having difficulty with scanning the system. I've entered the channel numbers as warranted for TIII systems in my Uniden portable by subtracting 1 and dividing in half but I can sit at the computer with the scanner beside me and not have the scanner pick up activity I'm hearing on DSD+. Signal levels are not an issue.

So now I've entered 3 'sites' in the scanner with 3 different versions of channel numbering (considering the different ch number I have for 410.3875) to see which performs best but activity has disappeared now that the emergency has past and I'm sure they've told their crews to take a well deserved break.

I was listening yesterday after the storm and I found it pretty much dead. Guelph and Brampton are active today.

Channel numbers that DSD show me are:

410.3875 65/66
412.1375 345/346
412.3125 373/374
414.8375 777/778

On my Uniden scanner I use:

410.3875 32
412.1375 172
412.3125 186
414.8375 388

I've corrected the first channel in the database.

I am seeing zero activity on ch 777 from where I'm listening. Lots of activity on 778 but it seems slot 1 or ch 777 is being bypassed for some reason.

FWIW I ran 2 of my scanners to monitor the Alectra system for calls in Hamilton after the storms blew thru, no activity at all here and I am 100% sure that Alectra was active, they were just down the street from my apartment working.

I did hear a few calls for units in Guelph and Mississauga.

I also ran Hydro One for activity outside urban Hamilton, nada radio activity
