Fire dispatches now on Alpha as well, still operating on the TACs.

Going through the recordings. Looks like the last radio transmission was 10:08 and the first transmission was 10:56 when the system went back up.

Good reminder to keep 154.01 still programmed in the radio. Must of have deleted it a while ago. Never heard any activity on CMARC which I believed they used previously when they had radio issues. Didn't get any activity on the 8 Tac's, I guess I don't get good reception of those frequencies.

I wonder what caused the outage?

A Battalion Chief notified a unit to check their departmental email about "upcoming radio maintenance." Not sure if it is connected with yesterday's outage.

Supposedly the vendor caused the issue.

I have a knob position on the G5 set to monitor VHF dispatch, which came in handy yesterday. Normally I have a FTO for Station 40 set. I don't have 154.01 programmed in any of the scanners because the tone outs can be annoying.

Did you ever figure out where the county police went during the outage?

No, I never figured it out. I have RINS and the 8Tac's programmed in my 436hp but didn't get any transmissions. They were not active on any FiRST MD Tac's. I also monitored CMARC and didn't get any activity.

Maybe they used their in car computers for dispatch/ops.
