BCD325P2/BCD996P2: Another BCD996p2 question

Pretty much set up and going wityh the radio but one problem: audio dropouts on P25 transmissions where I miss whole words. At tyhe same time I notice that the P25 on the display disappears. Centre County, Pa. phase 1 system. (giving up on typos with this suckaxx keyboard with its phantom and douible strikes) I have only one site programmed as it is the only one I can hear.
Any thoughts? Thanks

Symptoms of simulcast distortion:

Both sites are showing as simulcast. Not the optimum scanner to be using for this system.

It sounds like Close Call or one of the priority modes might be turned on. Each of these will cause interruptions in the received signal. Check to see if you have any of these turned on:

Priority Scan
Close Call
Weather Alert Priority

Is the Weather Priority turn on? That would cause a drop out every few secs or so... Do you see WX in the bottom right hand corner of the display. Hit WX button to toggle through the available options. Good luck!

I know that... couldn't afford this one no less an sds. Knocking off the wx fixed things I guess.
