Is RIPTA NOT on the Metro site? I have been monitoring the Metro site using both SDS Plus and my Unication radio and noticed RIPTA transmissions don't exist on that site. I hear RIPTA fine on the other 3 sites. Also on Scan NE it shows the same thing, no RIPTA on Metro site. The reason I ask is because I have my radios all programmed with RIPTA TG's in the Metro site. If RIPTA is not on there I can replace those entries in scanners with some other talk groups.

How do you have your scanners programmed to monitor TGs on specific sites? I don't know of any model of any scanner that does that.

Only 1 RIPTA TG is authorized use of the METRO ZONE. All others are authorized North, East and South.

I was under the impression that the 700MHz was set up for RIPTA so they wouldn't tie up RISCON during emergencies and other routine radio traffic The only TG I've ever heard on 700MHz is North Providence DPW
And W1KNE is absolutely correct RIPTA is a PINA to listen to especially when the female dispatcher is speaking with the nasally voice that goes through my ears like nails on a chalk board
