My scanner is a little newer than a BC-210, it’s a PRO-2005 (with cell mod and scan speed increase!) The Trans Oceanic is getting a little tired but the AMRAD VLF/HF active whip really perks it up. My setup may appear to be very basic to the casual observer but I can tell you it pulls in them weak signals real good.

Back when you first posted your pictures Steve and even up to today, hands down, IMO, yours is the *best* all-around home install.

It would be nice to have some tower/bulkhead/cable specs. What did it take to put that tower up? Do you have any pictures of that?

Hey Crayon,
I think the same way about Steve's install. I remember freaking out that I lost his link, because I always looked at his install for inspiration for my tower one day.
I still look to this day.
Take care

does that umbrella stand actually work for picking up stuff.

At 5', the improvement in reception comes from getting the antenna outside the house and farther away from my computers. Using the back of set antenna on a radio inside picks up more noise.

When I use extra sections of mast, I'm able to pickup mobile and handhelds in my area better.
