Been working at getting my antenna patch panel in order. In the photos it is not complete, only antenna feed hooked up being the LMR600 from the UHF omni. I plan on mounting all preamps and filters on the panel. The device to the left is a 8 output VHF/UHF multicoupler. I plan in grounding all devices at this point also. The lower gray box contains AC power and DC power for the preamps...

You know, when you are finished with your set up, expect a visit from guys in suits and sunglasses! :D

Looking good! Can't wait to see the final product!

The fire extinguisher is definitely not whacker. You may want to reconsider it's placement however. If there is arcing going on on that board, do you really want to reach in there to grab the extinguisher? Imagine where the fire is going to occur, and place the extinguisher near enough that it is accessible, but far enough away that it can be safely accessed in a real situation.

It is a very good idea but consider moving it farther from where you could anticipate the fire to start. You don't want to be burned reaching for it.

Since I do a lot of fire inspections at work, Undun and the other guys are right and I recommend mounting the fire extinguisher outside of the room either next to the door or near the door you would normally enter the room with. If that is not an option, mounting it just right in the door would be the next best bet. God forbid if something goes kaput, having the extinguisher in hand before entering is a must.

Make sure that extinguisher is an ABC model, by the picture it looks like it may have a slash through the "C" designation, but that could be the picture too. If it is not rated for Class C fires (electrical) grab a ABC or BC (preferable), CO2 extinguishers are also preferable for electronics and electrical. Make sure you also inspect the extinguisher each month to make sure it remains charged and keep up on the special maintenance required. Your local extinguisher / fire protection shop can help out.

If you need any ideas, give me a PM and I'll be more then willing to help out.

Good luck with the patch panel, hope iot works out for yah!!

Who makes the 8 output VHF/UHF multicoupler ?

Always enjoy seeing your photos and what you are doing with your setup Jody!

Once again, very impressive!!
Another very professional install.

Just completed changing out all old RG-213 for LMR-400 here.
LMR-600 must be a bit of a pain to work with??
Thankfully not many corners to turn here!

Please keep the pics coming!

Regards, Commscanaus.

Who makes the preamps and the multicoupler? I don't recognize either of them from picture. Is that a PAR filter I see ready to go on the lower preamp input.

Looking good though! How long of a run is the LMR-600? That stuff can be a bear to work with!
