Yes, I can recall having that wonderful AS antenna. I had this attached to two types of Motorola mounts, the one that came with it and a Larsen. I wish I still had that antenna. If I am not mistaken, there was a black cylindrical piece of metal located on the stinger. I wish I could find one of these because I would buy it in a heartbeat.

I ended up getting the magnetic mount with the Radio Shack antenna which seems to work fine.

I think I've decided to take my current antenna into the radio shop to have the coax and BNC replaced. I bought this silver antenna from Grove. Thanks for your feedback.

Wish I could have done the same but scanning is just about dead here and we don't have anymore scanner shops or scanner repair places.
