Hi,
It is available on the Japanese site.

It appears to be the same updates that were made for the DV10 firmware 2410A.
Note: One person reported that there was an issue on the DV10 after the update, relating to memory channels.

I loaded 2412A from the AOR Japan site. The radio was hanging on a P25 Phase 1 frequency. I went back to 2205A and the issue was gone. I'll stick with 2205A for now. I also had a memory channel issue. Only even numbered memories would tune via dial. A full reset and re-load of the memories solved this one.

I'm in the States and it should be noted that this firmware update has only been released in Japan. The AOR USA website does not show the update. I have no issues being an unofficial beta tester. I reloaded 2412A and am testing a GSSI list on a TETRA system. AOR and their quirks, fun, fun fun.

I found this thread this morning because I want to perform the firmware update on my AOR AR-DV1.
My firmware is 2205A.
I couldn't open up the links above.

If you are comfortable with doing firmware updates and enjoy pulling your hair out, go for it. You can always downgrade back down to 2205A if you have issues. As always, do so at your own risk.
I finally took a few minutes and performed the firmware update and I am now on 2412AN.
I also reviewed the improvements. DCR mode is NXDN format.

Feature Improvements:
1. DCR Mode - Whitening Code (WC):
- Added Whitening Code (WC) functionality to selective reception features.
AUTO and manual code settings are supported:
AUTO Mode: Automatically decodes the voice regardless of the Whitening Code set by the transmitter. The detected code number is displayed on-screen. Manual Mode: Allows manual selection of a Whitening Code from 001 to 511.
How to Access This Feature:
Set the receive mode to "D-CR".
[Press the large dial twice] → [D-CR WC]
2. DCR Mode - Auto-Descramble:
- The 15-bit auto-descramble function now works even when the transmitter has enabled the "Selective Call" feature.
No additional settings are required.
3. DCR Mode - Scan & Search Enhancements:
- The Scan & Search feature now bypasses signals containing only a carrier or data. However, it will still stop on encrypted signals, which cannot be decoded.
No additional settings are required.

i have a brand new in the box DV1 i bought it a few years ago but never ever did anything with it whats the software or firmware upgrade process poste what should i do first lol

As I was told, “Whitening Code”, Its used in NXDN radios to reduce interference". This is as much as I know.
The Alinco DJ-X100 also has this "Whitening Code" setting, but I seem to get good decoding no matter where I set it. Try setting different codes and see if you notice any difference.

Purely from Googling, it seems a whitening code algorithm is used to scramble the signal in an attempt to avoid long runs of ones or zeros in the digital signal. These could otherwise make locking onto the signal and cleanly decoding it more difficult for the receiver.
As I understand it the DV10 should be able to automatically find the whitening code in use and unscramble the transmission. Other radios were not mentioned but maybe they can all do this.
Hope someone who actually has the DV10 / DV1 can confirm the above.
