App not working in background

The past 6 months my broadcastify scanner app has not been working in the background when I let my Samsung Galaxy note 20 go dark. Any help would be appreciated

The official Broadcastify app for Android has never worked well for me.
Try Scanner Radio by Gordon Edwards, it is a great app!
