• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Before my head gets bitten off by certain users. this is for a conventional P25 system. not a NAS p25 p2 issue. I have 2 conventional p25 channels in my Apx. I have checked and double checked the personality is listed to the scan list I want it in, and that the Channels from said personality are in my scan list. However, They are not switching to either of those two channels upon signal receive even when parked on it, I turn off scan, no issue can hear them fine, scan on, No longer receives that. My Harris XG100p has no issues. Any thoughts on this scan issue?

You said digital csq...I assume you mean F7E for the NAC ? Anyway there were issues with Astro25 radios and scan with P25 but I never saw any on the APX. If you have personality scan list set and the channels in the scan list it should be scanning. You did add all the channels to your scan list correct ? If you have a scan program button double check they show up in the list.

Yea!!! I got something right again. I’ll be sure and let my wife know.
.... some one set a timer and check on this man in 24 hours.... i got $20 he ends up injured or worse.. from possibly a flying frying pan

But yes, Apparently i attempted to change it but it some how reverted. but as i was going through adding some TGs, I looked to sate my curiosity.

Still here and no injuries. I actually got a "reward" for getting something right.

Nope. I''m not even nibbling on your hair. I actually think that conventional mode P25 scanning of a not-too-busy trunked system is a fine idea and I prefer to do it myself. Or I did, when there was a system in the area that was suitable for that. But they went full time encrypted and moved the system down into the 380 MHz frequency range and I never even bothered to set that up again in a radio. Why, when you'll never hear anything?

Im monitoring my Hometown FD god forbid i hear a specific address... where my relatives still reside....they used to be on 100% conventional. then suddenly those two dispatch channels died... nothing. Now im out and about at work and I heard them clear as day with the p25 set up
