I had not luck either getting SDRSharp through OmniRig with AR5000. You can try SysLabs RadioControl ( https://www.radioctl.com/en/index.html) has a trial version for the AR5000. The software will completely control the AR5000.

After a bit more research I think the solution is to buy an SDR and run the receiver through a panadapter. SDR-Radio Console does have that option.

yes, i had also seen that video. Depends, what you want to accomplish. Using the 10.7 mhz output of the radio with SysLabs RadioControl you have control of the radio to do a frequency database, memory file, and frequency search. You will be able to decode digital signals with a third party app such as DSDPlus Fastlane. No panadapter though. I just got it working with the software (trial version) and its working very well.
