4724 is also an encrypted TG. I don't know what it's channel number or designation/use may be.
The designation/use of the TG's for GPD has not changed from the old system. A-1 is South Dispatch. A-2 is South Tac. A-3 is Info. A-4 is North Dispatch. Etc.

Maricopa County: TG 44144. Possibly Medical Examiner? I need help confirming, or figuring out, this one. Anybody?

MCSO Search 8: 159.090 is now using a DCS of 115, and is no longer using the CTCSS of 127.3Hz.
Parks VHF: 159.390. I'm still trying to confirm if it's still being used at all. It was a chit-chat channel, the last I knew, as there was no dispatcher on it.

This thread was created years ago and does not reflect the current policy for updates.
Just a reminder, that submissions should be submitted to the respective database entries. Please use this thread as a sounding board for suspected TG or frequency activity, but once you have solidly ID'd the useage, please submit to the database for updates for all.

Keep up the fine work !

Thanks,

I only have access to the mobile version of the site, so I'm unable to make a submission to the database other than here. Sorry.

Glendale PD A-12, TG 4729 is clear voice, not encrypted. Very active this Saturday evening with officers mentioning something about a concert. Another Westgate channel, alongside 13 and 14?

They don't. If you hear Phoenix units on a Mesa dispatch, they are simply advising the Mesa units that Phoenix has been requested to send mutual-aid on that call. Phoenix does the same thing when Mesa is requested to send mutual-aid into Tempe.

Actually, it was Phoenix dispatching Phoenix units on the Mesa channel. For about an hour or so Phoenix Fire dispatch "took over" Mesa/Gilbert and were dispatching Phoenix stuff on the Mesa frequencies. Initially they said it was for a drill and I heard them dispatch out the drill, but then they continued using the main dispatch channel. What I don't understand, though, is why they used the Mesa channel to dispatch a drill happening in the west valley. I have flash green for Mesa and solid red for Phoenix so it was a bit weird to hear Phoenix Fire and see flashing green.

Ok, according to the ArizonaScanner Yahoo group, Mesa FD/PD was having work done on their dispatch center, so their call takers and dispatchers went to the Phoenix FD/PD dispatch center and worked from there. It's nice to know that that capability is...

...available when it's needed.
And apparantly, the TOPAZ RWC has a better signal out here in the West Valley, according to one comment. I just started listening, & did hear a nice clear Mesa FD dispatch. I haven't heard any PD activity as of yet, however

Oh, I guess they patched together 154.190, 154.340, TG 1795 and TG 3064, which is why you were hearing Phoenix on Mesa and Mesa on Phoenix.
I was listening to the MCI exercise at Luke AFB and missed this patching. Oh, well.

I must have missed Mesa on Phoenix. I only heard Phoenix on Mesa. I might've gone completely bonkers if I heard Mesa on Phoenix, too. hahaha.

That's what someone mentioned, that both VHF channels and both talkgroups were all patched together, so they were hearing the same thing on all 4. Since I didn't hear it, I can't confirm it.

I actually only heard Phoenix on Mesa, not all traffic on all channels. I don't think I heard Phoenix on Phoenix at all during that time, but I believe I heard Mesa on Mesa. It was mostly Phoenix on Mesa.

Well, at least the capability is there to dispatch one system from the other's dispatch center in the event of catastrophic failure or the like of one center or the other!
