Anyone know how to listen to Ashtabula PD? They are listed in he database as using 769.53125 MHZ. Can I just create a favorites list with that frequency? Anything else?

Yes, has to be set to P25 conventional channel.

What scanner you using? And 40 miles away not sure if it will pick up from Erie, unless you are a lot closer than Erie and have a good outdoor antenna.

Have 436, 536, and SDS200. Really asking for friend in Madison though. About 18 miles.
No outdoor antenna.

If your friend is in Madison, Ohio, shouldn't be a problem to pick up Ashtabula PD as long as setup as conventional P25.

Working on setting it up on a 996. Not sure how exactly. I set it as a P25 one frequency system with one site. Its now on ID search. Is this correct?

I now see there is a conventional option too. I set that up with Ash PD as the system, and Group 1 as Ash PD Dispatch. When scanning it shows the system as Ash PD, and Group 1 is active. But Ash PD Dispatch doesn't show when scanning. Is this OK? Just want to be sure since I'm aways away, and distance could be a factor.

Just program it as a conventional frequency, select P25 as the mode (if that option is available), and 293 NAC. No groups or anything fancy.
