I'm not a fan of Repeaterbook, but it does have repeater listings and it does have a tool for listing repeaters in range of major highways. You can filter the list for by band and you can list just the high-profile repeaters. If you are a member of Repeaterbook, you can upload a proposed route and get list of nearby repeaters.

I think most folks here are willing to help when people have questions. But, there are also tools available to answer many questions.

I just now saw your post as I do not check this site every day. Other hams may also not check this site every day. If you have the ability you can do a search using for example "Oklahoma 2m repeaters." Do the same for each state you'll be traveling through. That's going to be an awfully long list though. I realize that is exactly what you did not want but alternatively you can take AK9R's excellent advice. For around 20 bucks you can buy the ARRl Repeater book from the ARRL or on Amazon.

You stated you'll be traveling in the late fall so there is plenty of time to accomplish this. I wish you the best for a speedy recovery.

Unless you prefer a printed copy, I would spend the money on a RepeaterBook membership before I'd buy the ARRL Repeater Directory. Starting with the 2025 edition, the Repeater Directory is populated with data from RepeaterBook.

Repeaterbook is free. There is a premium service; but most functions are free.

I actually started a list off RepeaterBook Robert, but being a HF/6m guy I quickly realized how little I know about the walkie-talkie game. I stopped, hoping one of the veterans here would step up and do it the right way. I'll give it a shot if necessary.

Are you going to have an external antenna for the HT or just try and use it on the rubber duck? Also now you're going to Jacksonville, Florida?
