I've just spent almost a half-hour searching through the BCD396T post-release thread. Now I understand why people post new threads with questions that somebody already answered somewhere.

So, here's my possibly redundant question:

What does an asterisk mean in place of a group number in trunked scan mode?

Example: GRP12----7-*0

What's up with Group 9 in this example?

Means group 9 is turned off because the quick key for that group is toggled off (as opposed to the group being turned off (or locked out) by way of the programming mode).

Thanks for the clarification. I knew it wasn't locked out because I kept checking, but the disabled GQC makes sense.

More specifically - it means group 9 has TGs programmed into it but it (and all TGs in it) is turned off.

A - in the field vs. a * means there is nothing programmed in that group.
