Has anyone heard any more information about this?
North Ridgeville's Finance Committee will be looking at this on 11/2. It can be watched on YouTube. The mayor of NR did mention the system at the last City Council meeting and said that one of the cities may not move forward due to finances. My guess is that is Sheffield Lake.

That presumes they didn't enter into a binding contract with the other cities to provide part of the funding for the purchase and installation of the system. If they did, they would have a hard time backing out; all they could do would be to delay their migration to the system in order to not purchase radios right away (although if they were smart, radios would have been part of the overall system purchase, it's generally cheaper that way).

The FEMA grant that was applied for was not funded. The system is dead in the water for now. The 5 cities will attempt to get a grant again.
