hey there im a military dude stationed in iraq at the moment, currently living or stationed out of fort lewis, i got me a uniden bc 250d scanner here with me in iraq, ive been working on trying to setup the talkgroups. but i got a question
1. do you have to have the talkgroup in the same bank as the transmitting station In order for the talkgroup to display the alpha tag
example: bank 1 has seattle pd talkgroup, but the actual frequency for the talkgroup lies in bank 3. will the display still display Seattle Pd ETC department
If so then that solves my worries, if not , whats the best way to program the scanner so it works accordingly, right now im programming spd TG into bank 1, SFD TG into bank 2, PD into bank 3 and 4, Fire into 5, and 6, city into 7, emergency into 8 and misc/events into 9.
my focus is pierce, king, snohomish counties. cause thats going to be where ill be doing most commuting to/ through
