Does anyone know if FG 1 on the Bartlett system is a regular TG or a talk-around, simplex channel?

BTW, there was some mention of Bartlett becoming an APCO-25 system. I have heard no digital transmissions on the Bartlett system. Has anyone else???????

Fireground 1 is an actual talkgroup. And yes digital has been confirmed on the system. Talkgroup 41104 is some sort of "special ops" and it's in un-encrypted digital.

FWIW... I heard Bartlett FD Engine 2 on Shelby County's digital system a little while ago. I haven't been able to listen to the scanners too much lately so I don't even know if that's worth mentioning.

They were probably on a mutual aid call with SC....I would guess.

Had an event in my neighborhood last night, flipped on the scanner, heard nothing. It's an old PRO-2006, so I do not know if they were in digital mode or not....

Bartlett Fire, Memphis Fire, & Germantown Fire frequently provide mutual aid to Shelby County Fire Department. In doing so, said departments will swap over to County Fire's talkgroups to communicate with County Fire Dispatch and county fire apparatus.

That must be the reason they are becoming digitally enabled, so they can talk on the county system. Makes sense. Thank you.

One of the bridges in the county has a 3 ton limit until the bridge can get worked on. Until the bridge is fixed, Bartlett Fire is running mutual aid in that area while the county engine runs the detour.

Bartlett fire apparatus have at least 2 MTS5000 portables that include county talkgroups. Most staff officers have the MTS5000's also.

They swap over the county fire's talkgroups when responding into the county. They're on the Memphis/Shelby County system.
