Anyone know what kind of system this is AND the vendor?

An evaluation is under way to determine what is wrong with Battle Creek’s new, almost $4 million police radio system.
“I am frustrated because of the problems,” said Commander Jackie Hampton, supervisor of the Patrol Division of the Battle Creek Police Department. “We are having dropped calls where the officers can’t hear dispatch and dispatch can’t hear the officers.”

it is a motorola system and it is very typical of what happens when a city goes cheap and wants mobile coverage, then when it is up and running they want portable coverage. the article had comments from other agencies on the same system that have no problem with the new system.

you get what you pay for.

It's a part of the MPSCS, the Michigan statewide system.
