BC 785D software

Which windows software is recommended for programming a Uniden BC 785D with my computer? Thanks.

785 software

I have used Butel's ARC250 which supports both the 785D and the 250D. The 250D is a handheld version of the 785D. I own both and have been very successful with Butel's ARC250 program.

Thanks Julian. Does that program include a option to download local freqs from this site?

I don't think ARC250 has an option to connect to the database, but it can download CSV data (which is available when you are a paid subscriber) and grab freqs via the Webcatcher utility. However, Scan Control's CSV import utility is far more powerful, allowing you to download PL information, talkgroups and a lot more. Their URL is:

And as an aside, they're about to release audio recording sometime at the end of the month - something you pay extra for with ARC250. 73s Mike

ARC250 1.195beta does import from the database and has an even more powerful CSV import option then scancontrol.
