GPS doesn't pick up any frequencies. It helps your scanner become location aware without dialing in a ZIP code, and enables location based stored frequencies to become active and inactive when you are in a particular area.
The 325 doesn't have a Zip code feature anyway... Like the x36's and SDS's...

I believe you mean P25 Phase 2. That means that the scanner has TDMA capability where there can be 2 simultaneous conversations on a single frequency. A GPS receiver only identifies your location. It cannot download frequencies. If you let us know your city and county and what you want to monitor, we can look it up in the database to determine if it is possible to monitor and work to get you in business.

GPS will not work unless you enter the latitude, longitude, and range. Do you have the SIRN statewide trunked system programmed? Much of the radio traffic is there. Are you using programming software? If you attach your programming file, we can take a look at it to check for problems. You will need to zip the file to be able to attach it. Click on Attach files and open the zipped file.

Please attach your FreeSCAN file so we can take a look at it. If audio is cutting out, check your squelch. It should be set at 2. The St. Albans and Charleston sites on the SIRN trunked system should be good for you.

Dropouts during the middle of a transmission can be the result of having one of the priority modes enabled. These priority modes will cause interruptions in the received signal. Check to see if you have one of these turned on:

Priority Scan
Close Call
Weather Priority

Dropouts during the middle of a transmission can be the result of having one of the priority modes enabled.
It can also be caused by setting scan delay to a negative value. For example: If scan delay is set to -2, the scanner will receive a conventional frequency or talkgroup for 2 seconds and then resume scanning if the transmission is done or not.
