I recieved my 125 in the mail and the first thing I did was plug in some freqs. Ofcourse the radio comes with all channels locked out.

I then downloaded the Uniden 125 programming software and clicked the "read button" which read all the freqs I inputted by hand.

I proceeded to program banks with freqs. In the software program, there didn't seem to be an easy way to unlock the channel, since I'd dump in 30 or so freqs at a time. I would have that the the software would recognize you inputting a freq and automatically unlock, especially if your cutting and pasting from somewhere.

So I got the banks programmed and decided to use the "Unlock All" feature of the radio. I unplugged the radio from the computer, turned it on and hit "func+L/O" a message came up asking if I wanted to unlock all freqs and I pressed "E" for yes, but to my dismay... nothing unlocked.

Inputted several freqs in an unused bank and L/O a couple and then pressed "Unlock+E" and it unlocked all the freqs, but when trying the same thing with banks I programmed via the software, it would not unlock any of the channels. I turned on and of the scanner a few time with no success.

Is anyone else having this problem or is this a known bug?

Are you sure that they didn't unlock? This function won't enable banks, it just unlocks channels (i.e. you still need to press a digit during scan to enable / disable the banks you want scanned).

Also, F+L/O locks/unlocks the keypad. Hold down L/O to unlock all channels.

Sorry, yes... I meant to say just "hold" the L/O button.

I see your point of having the bank turned on in order to delete all, that appears to be the problem.

thanks!
