BC296 Control program Questions

Hello
I am looking for a Program that will get the date from the 296d include lockout groups
I have tried the Original Uniden software and it is not grabbing the Group id with its Lockuot status
i have tried the proscan software and it dont take the lockuot info from the scanner
That mean that every time i upload info to the scanner all the lockuot groups I have entered are not lockout anymore...
Has anyone solution / Program that solve the problem ???

2) is there other programs like the proscan that allow controling the scanner from remote via IP and allow to hear the received channel via IP ???
If yes what are they where can i find them ???

The purpose of locking data out is to prevent it from stopping the scanner on undesired data. Unlock the data and it will function. You should be able to unlock data with the scanner keyboard using HOLD/LIMIT repeatedly to the locked out data then press L/O button. Or leave it unlocked in the software and reload the bank(s) to the scanner.

One way to prevent the need to lockout data is to not program it to the scanner in the first place then scan only using ID SCAN Mode. This mode will provide a better display on the scanner and to the scanner over IP server.

ProScan can do this as can http://www.butel.nl/ Easystream Server and Easystream Client. Butel will allow both server and client to display the scanner data. ProScan will only display another server when in client mode select or your server during server mode select. I don't think Uniden software will do this at all.

A separate program, ARC250D Pro software is great for programming or running the scanner in remote mode.

I understand from what you wrote that There are no software that grab the Lock Status of the group .... am i correct ?
I know about the unlock button but dont want to do it again every time i upload data to the scanner

as for the other software beside the proscan i will check them and see wich is better for my need the idea is to have remote receiver that i can connect and hear its audio and control the freq

also i look for a sort of authentication that not anyone that is not allowd to listen will listen ....

I may have misunderstood your meaning regarding unlock.

In ProScan, toggle the lock on/off as in 1st picture.

However, this lockout feature is not available for Trunk List Bank settings in 2nd picture...Thus if you have them locked out when downloading from scanner, they will likely be locked out in the software with no option to change.

Corrective action would be to unlock using keybord buttons then download bank to software.

That exectly what i mean
I ment to the 2nd picture (talk group Lockuot)
are you sure that the status of the talk group will be same while downloading and uploading again ??
I suspect that they all became unlocked ......
if you say that the status of the talkgroup at the scanned will stat as is ... thats good inough for me ... as long as it will not change all lockuot talkgroup to unlocked ...
