So I've imported from RR the systems and groups for my area Michigan's Public Safety Communications System (MPSCS). Before ProScan I used FreeScan and was able to assign quick keys even to P25 systems. I noticed that in Database>Systems, Quick Keys are able to be set for conventional systems and P25S with frequency groups, and work as I am able to toggle the respective QKs while scanning.

I noticed that for P25S with TGIDs though, when going to the System level (OAKLANDCOUNTY63), there is no Quick Key option (first photo). But when going to the Group level within that system, Quick Keys are able to be set for that group (second photo) -- so I assigned QKs to them. I'm new to ProScan so I'm not sure what I'm missing and I apologize if this has been posted about before (I promise I've done all the researching throughout the forums and ProScan manual as best as I could), but after uploading everything to my scanner (BCD325P2), those quick keys I assigned, for example G-2 under OAKLANDCOUNTY63 do not work/show. The only ones that work in my case are ATC (S-1) and Michigan's Publi (S-5(First)). If I can add anything else to my post to clarify, I will be glad to add what ever else I can. Thanks in advance!

I don't see site frequencies for oaklandcounty, state, & other. Frequencies are needed for trunking systems.
{edit} When importing from the RRDB, don't uncheck all the sites, just the ones out of range.

Regarding SQK's(System/Site/Search) QK's, ProScan follows the way the scanner handles SQK's. Conventional systems can be assigned SQK's at the system level. Trunking systems can only be assigned SQK's at the site level. Freescan can assign SQK's to trunking systems at the system level but the scanner doesn't allow that. I believe Freescan sets all the sites under the system to perhaps the same SQK that's assigned to the system.

On the Michigan system, you will need groups if you want to ID Scan. ID Search without groups will work the way it is now.

Thanks so much for this! I think I got it working. What I did was for the respective counties I wanted to scan, I made sure to have the Site (Frequencies) checked along with the Group (TGIDs) before importing them. Then after importing them, I assigned QKs to each Site - for example Oakland County SQK 2, Lapeer County Si SQK 3, etc.

Then, I sorted them by adding systems (P25 Standard Trunk) named their respective counties and dragged over the groups into each one along with the site with frequencies. Now my scanner sees QKs 2 through 6 and I'm able to toggle them on and off which is great.

I did run across the same issue with a couple of State Police groups I wanted to scan as they don't show up on the scanner. I remember what you had mentioned about not unchecking all sites, just the out of range ones, but I'm not sure which sites with frequencies actually go with those highlighted groups. Is there a way to tell? Thanks again, hope I'm making sense!

System QKs are assigned on the SITE level.
It seems as if you have three sites using the same QK [Oakland, Pontiac, Wayne]. Are you sure that's what you want? I personally would have each site on a separate QK.

Anyway, if you want to toggle MARCS, it seems you have assigned system QK 5.

Are you referring to my screenshot in post #1? I've made some changes -- the screenshots in post #3 is how I have them currently. Could you clarify what you mean by MARCS? Thanks.

I was referencing wrong system, I meant the MPSCS. You're right on the QKs.

In a trunking system for P25, SITE QKs are on system level.

To toggle system QK ON/OFF:

For example Oakland site:

Press [2].

For a group QK press function [number].

For two-decimal numbers press .no [number].

That's correct. If you set a quick key, at the system level for a trunked system, FreeSCAN resets all of the keys for the sits to the same value as entered at the system level.

Just more info for you, since you already have the 325P2, FYI it can struggle to get Oakland and their 33 tower simulcast system and the other counties you have listed are also simulcast. All S.E. MI is simulcast.
The SDS would work best, although being closer to one tower can help.
What I’m taking about -

Under MODE if it’s D or T it’s in the clear, De or Te sometimes clear, sometimes encrypted, DE or TE is always encrypted.
https://www.radioreference.com/db/sid/100 - ONLY need to put in the frequencies in red as you will find it will pick quicker-faster without the frequencies in black - Voice frequencies.
Anything fully encrypted... delete as there is no point to have them as you wont get those.

All Oakland police are encrypted.
I see Lapeer listed, FYI all digital 911 there is encrypted, outside of their VHF fire page.

Be sure to update the 325P2 firmware too.
Current version 1.11.07
