BCD396T Milair Performance?

Just wondering how the 396t performs on milair. I don't have much milair to listen to around hear but would like opinions.

I get a lot of "birdies" when scanning Southern California Military Air (SoCal MilAir).

We have 2 mil monitors using 396s on our Maryland mil sticky thread, and there may well be more lurkers out there. Seems to be a good performer, when you use a good antenna - as is almost always the case, the little duckie isn't worth much, particularly for milair.
