BCD436HP/BCD536HP: BCD436 Frequency display for trunking; Possible?

HI all. Is it possible for the BCD436 to display the current frequency during trunking operation like the 536 does. I am not interested in numerical TGID or Unit/user ID.
I'm thinking the answer is No, but just checking.

I don't believe so. I think the only thing you can substitute for TG ID is Service Type in trunking mode.

Not possible on a 436 without the use of remote software like Proscan. You'll need to step up to an SDS100 to have this in a handheld

If @ProScan lets you view it, then one would think Unden could possibly do something with firmware to have it display on the scanner.

I bought a 436, or actually the EU version 3600, just to have the bigger display to show more info that the 536 cannot do.

You do have it set to non 3 line display, make a channel hold and push function and then 9 to toggle display mode.

This toggles Unit ID display on & off on the US version

This question came up a few years ago. The answer was no and no changes were planned.

That said, the SDS models can have their displays set to do so.

This is a clip from the BCD436HP users manual that shows the frequency in use for a digital channel. Perhaps it is not a trunked system then.
