BCD436HP Will Not Write to MicroSD Card

My BCD436HP will not save changes to MicroSD card and will not replay or record anything Is there a write protect on the radio?

I have tried to format a new card clear user data, windows will see the card as a drive but will not write to it when connected to the scanner.

I am familiar with this procedure as I have set up a larger MicroSD card for my BCD536 without problem.

Has anyone else experienced this problem. I probably will have to send it back to Uniden for service.

Corrupt MicroSD card was the culprit

Formatted a new MicroSD card using SD Formatter www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_4/ and re-installed from Sentinel and the new card worked great. My replay and setting changes now work great.

The original MicroSD card that came with the BCD436HP some how become write protected. When I attempted to re-format the original card it advised the card was write protected and to turn off write protection. Checked file properties and the files were checked read only. Unchecked this and applied to the folder and files. The files would not go off read only.

Needless to say the card was filed in the trash can.
