Hello all,

I have had a bcd536hp for a few years now, Have not paid much attention to it until recently. I noticed that it does not give any audio or seem to pickup any p25 phase 2 signals anymore I use to be able to get them in my area. I am able to get it on another radio however. I was told it may be a bad digital board and needs replacing, how do I determine if it is bad?? I have run a analyze test on the rf plot and see signals on the control channel near me but never hear anything. Antenna is good because I checked it on other radios and I am able to pickup transmissions. Any help is appreciated.

Please specify what system(s) you're having trouble bringing in so we can get eyes on the database to identify or rule out possibilities which may hinder your scanning efforts (encryption, simulcast distortion, etc) Without this info we can only assume

however. I was told it may be a bad digital board and needs replacing,
Told by whom?

What area and which systems. It is impossible for us to be able to help without knowing your location (city, county, and state) and the systems you are trying to monitor.

Maybe they where referring to the micro SD memory card? It can create all kinds of strange behavior if it has som read errors. You probably have your configuration saved in Sentinel and then you simply connect your scanner and use Sentinel and select Scanner/Clear User Data and it will format and put new boot data on the memory card. Then select Scanner/Write to Scanner to put your configuration and database back on the SD memory card.
