Temp avoids are stored in memory and max out at something like 254 for the global scanner and after that the first avoid you did will be flushed out, FIFO, first in first out,
without any warning given that the record now are put back in scan. Permanent avoids are not stored in memory but are done directly to the file on the SD card and then have no limits to how many you can do.
For the database and if you look at the SD card in the folder BCDx36HP/HPDB there will be one file for each State that ends with a hpd extension. Any extension with avd will hold the permanent avoids for that particular State and can be quickly deleted. The hpdb.cfg file will hold the conversion table between state number and State name. All Uniden programming files are plain text files that easily can be read into Excel as tab delimited format and edited, maybe using find&replace to change a lot of records in one go, and saved back.
@jasonhouk Could we have a warning when the max temp avoid have reach its max and then asks "overwrite old data?" and then .No or E.Yes buttons will skip the whole temp avoid procedure or overwrite the oldest data as it currently do. Additional to this it would also help if the scanners Menu/Settings/RestoreOptions could have a third option for Clear Temp Avoids that then didn't need the scanner to be switched Off/On and perhaps loose other settings as well as waiting for things to be loaded and also run into issues using remote control.
