BCD996P2 not displaying SO and GRP on display

I just purchased a BCD996P2 and am programming it with FreeSCAN. I have entered conventional and trunked systems. When I scan, the SO and GRP on the lower part of the display are blank (SO: ---------------, GRP--------------) Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? I've searched everywhere without success and yes, I have RTFM! Thanks for the help in advance.

Ive never had luck with Freescan on my 996. Have you tried Sentinel?

I did a little more digging and found out that you have to assign a quick key to each system. Is there any other info I should know?

Sentinel doesn't work on that scanner.

Check the set 'scanner options tab'

Sentinel is not compatible with the 996P2 but thanks for the suggestion!

I’m just guessing here but I’d say you didn’t assign any system/site nor group quick keys.
