BCD996P2 Scan Problem

I have programmed all the channels that I care to listen to into the scanner. However when I press scan, it begins to scan all randam channels including one called "Custom 1", "Public Safety", along with my channels I have inputed.

I only want the scanner to scan my channels. Before I did an update it functioned that way but I am not sure what I did to mess it up.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I used FreeScan to program the channels.

If your screen says ID Search, press the Function Knob and then press the SCAN/SEARCH button to change to ID Scan.

In Freescan , go to "Set Scanner Options"

Lock out the Custom Searches




As @tvengr said - change the system to "ID Scan" mode

press the function button, scroll thru all the systems and lockout each system that you dont want to listen to, then press the scan button.

The Custom1 is most likely a TG / Freq that YOU entered. Any new entry by default uses Custom 1 as the service type.
