Scan/Search, Hold/Resume, pri, wx, gps, menu and L/O buttons stopped working. the problem was the ribbon cable going from the circuit board to the display had come loose. I checked it when I first opened the radio, but it felt secure. By gently releasing the ribbon clip at the display end it almost fell out of the socket. I slid the ribbon back in and put the clip back in. All buttons working now. When this happened I could still get to all radio functions with ARC996 software and ScanControl. to get to the ribbon, take the radio out of the outer case then the cover with the speaker mounted to it. Go slow the speaker wires are short.
