i am still a little confused on how priority scanning works on the BCD996XT. I have 2 separate trunked systems and a conventional Vhf system that I scan regularly. I have a channel on the conventional system set as priority but the scanner never jumps to this channel. Putting the scanner in priority mode chops the radio traffic up every 2 seconds and putting it in priority plus mode only scans the priority channel. How is this feature supposed to work?

I've noticed that if I tag a conventional channels as priority and I'm also scanning trunked systems the scanner misses the traffic on the priority conventional channel most of the time.

I know my very old scanner if you set a channel as priority the scanner would "check" that channel
every 2 seconds while scanning and during traffic on another channel.

Conventional priority is only going to occur when the scanner is on a conventional system and Priority is turned on (i.e. if you get a break in audio every 2 seconds when the priority is being checked, it is working).
