BCD996XT v1.07.03 Firmware Update Available

So I have a question that I havent seen asked unless I over looked it maybe. Since Uniden has came out with there new line of scanners does that mean there wont be anymore firmware updates for the 996XT? I noticed there hasnt been anymore for the BCT15X and I have had this scanner over a year now and no new updates. I was just curious if there would be anymore updates or if there done since they have a new line to do updates for.

Typically when new models come out updates for the previous models end. ie: 396T & 996T stopped when the 396XT & 996XT's come out..I would assume this will be the same now that the 436 & 536's have came out..

Why update older models when you are trying to sell new models.

Just my speculation. ..
