YepIs the audio off time set to infinite?
Vaguely. It goes so far back. I do remember a time or two doing an update, but it has been so long and memory is failing.@ofd8001
Do you remember when UPMan would drop us beta firmware and we would have to copy the firmware to the SDS or X36 Scanners?
If someone has a copy of the last update before this one you can roll the firmware back and see if the problem goes away.
download SDS200_V1.23.07_Main.zip Instructions on how to revert in zipVaguely. It goes so far back. I do remember a time or two doing an update, but it has been so long and memory is failing.
Sounds good... Looks to be a firmware issue then and not your scanner... @JoeBearcatRandy Kuff sent me the 1.23.07 firmware via e-mail. I went through the process of rolling back the firmware.
The clicking issue went away. So Uniden might want to do some firmware fixing. . .
Thanks to all who helped make this annoying issue go away!
So.... Maybe try re-updating, just to be sure? It might've been a bad installation from the first release of the current firmware?
Just a guess/suggestion....
If it was hardware, it would be more consistent across all audio. There may also be some differences in the internal circuitry between the SDS 100 and SDS 200...
Which could possibly be why it doesn't seem to affect the SDS 100...
Very good. When did you do the firmware upgrade? That could be the determining factor.... (I suspect it was just a recompilation of the firmware, and so updated on March 24th.)for what it is worth, I am on (SDS200) firmware 1.23.15 sub 1.03.06 and listen to almost nothing but p25 p1 convential and have zero issues.
