BCDx36HP New Firmware and Sentinel

Today we released new firmware for both the BCD436HP and the BCD536HP, as well as an update to the Sentinel software for the BCDx36HP models.

BCD436HP/BCD536HP Firmware Changes:

• Added an option to turn off Replay recording, to minimize SD card wear/corruption issues if you do not use this feature.
• Changed the startup sequence when a USB cable is connected. Now, the scanner will default to Serial mode if you do not make a selection within 10 seconds.
• Changed the startup sequence so that a bad SD card will not result in an apparently dead scanner.

BCDx36HP Sentinel Change:

• Added support for the Replay OFF setting.

To apply the firmware update, simply select Update --> Update Firmware from the Sentinel menu.

To apply the Sentinel update, download and install the new version of Sentinel (you do not need to uninstall the old version). You can download the new version by clicking here: http://info.uniden.com/twiki/pub/UnidenMan4/BCD536HP/BCDx36HP_Sentinel_Version_1_05_00.zip
